Final Call for papers | ICGR 2018 - The International Conference on Gender Research

This is the Final Call for papers for the International Conference on Gender Research (ICGR 2018), being hosted by ISCAP - Polytechnic of Porto, Portugal on the 12-13 April 2018.


This call will close on the 21st September 2017


In today’s changing society researchers across many disciplines have started to focus on the impacts and issues relating to gender. ICGR 2018 provides an opportunity for anyone researching gender issues across the full spectrum of social sciences to come together to publish and present their work. ICGR 2018 will be a multidisciplinary event with participants from around the world sharing research which expresses both common experiences as well as those which are unique to each circumstance.

We are please to confirm 3 keynote presentations during the conference by Paola Paoloini, “Niccolò Cusano” University, Rome, Italy speaking on A relational capital dimension in Universities Isabel Ramos, University of Minho, Portugal speaking on Empowering women in the IT/IS research: the importance of role models and Bruce Newman, DePaul University, USA speaking on Gender and Democracy.


Papers accepted for the conference will be published in the conference proceedings, subject to author registration and payment. The Proceedings have an ISSN, ISBN and will be submitted for indexing in the Thompson Web of Science and Scopus and they are listed in the EBSCO database.


There will be two pre-conference workshops available for participants to attend at an extra cost of £30 on the subjects of:

  • One-Way Analysis of Variance – Are you doing it the right way?
  • How to publish and to review papers with high quality
